Another Week Begins...

We have many wonderful things planned for this week.  We will attend our Arts and Humanities rotation this week.  Mr. Fields will be teaching the students about the elements of art.  The students are excited about the project.  Additionally, we have Kentucky Kids' Day. Thanks to our PTO for ordering shirts for us!

We will have a reading quiz this Thursday over Letters Home from Yosemite.  We will be doing a mini unit on mythology next week and will NOT have a reading quiz.  Enjoy your break from those!

We have two weeks until the end of the 9 weeks (this week and next week).  Report cards will come home after Fall Break.

Let's make this a great week!

Tuesday's Tales

Greetings!

I was out today due to my dad having surgery.  I checked in on the kids and heard good things!

This week we have a reading quiz over the story we read today "The Horned Toad Prince" on Thursday.  Don't forget to review the vocabulary words that were sent home yesterday on our Family Times newsletter.

I hope everyone was in attendance today for High Attendance Day across the state.  Tomorrow we have health screenings.  Please make sure your child wears his/her glasses.

I hope you had a great evening!

Here we go again!!!

It amazes me how quickly the weekends fly by!  This should be a great week!  We have the Fall Fair on Friday from 5:00-8:00.  The book fair is winding down.  We have some good weather to enjoy!

Don't forget we have our Science Test this Wednesday.  Students will be reviewing in class, but should also study at home to prepare.

Yellow Folders came home today with lots of important handouts.  Please take the time to look through the items in the folder.  Please note that school pictures were included in those materials today.  If you want to order a retake, please hold onto your package for now.  It will need to be returned on retake day.

Midterms will be coming home on Thursday.  Please sign and return those as soon as possible.

I am looking forward to a great week!

Thursday's Thoughts

We have had a busy week!  It was so nice to see so many grandparents yesterday!  I know the students loved having them.

We will be having a Science Test next Wednesday over Animals, Animal Adaptations, Cells, and the Scientific Method.  We sent a study guide home on Wednesday. We will be reviewing on Monday and Tuesday.

Today the students had to create their own animals out of Play-Doh.  Some of them were so cool!  The kids have great imaginations!

I am looking forward to a great Friday!

Terrific Tuesday

I could tell the students were a little tired today from the long weekend.  I hope you enjoyed the extra time off.

We did not send a newsletter home today, but did want to remind you of Giovanni's Spirit Night, this Thursday from 5-8.  A portion of the proceeds will be given to our PTO.

A note came home today regarding our Fall Fair game. We need volunteers who can work 1/2 hour shifts on Sept. 14.  Please send those back if you are able to help.

We sent a great deal of graded papers home today.   Be sure to check your child's yellow folder.
